In a heartwarming display of solidarity and support, the American Albanian Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) recently donated $10,000 to the family of Albanian State Police Martyr Allaman Dervishi. This generous contribution, presented during a ceremony attended by AALEA Chairman Elton Shametaj and other association members, underscores AALEA’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of law enforcement officers and their families.

The ceremony, hosted by the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, provided an opportunity for AALEA representatives to learn about the ongoing reform efforts within the State Police and the achievements made in combating crime. Director Rrumbullaku expressed his gratitude to AALEA for their continuous support for the families of police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

“I greatly appreciate your humanity and that of the members of the association,” stated Director Rrumbullaku. “Your commitment to enhancing the image of the State Police in the USA is invaluable to us, and for this, I am grateful to you on behalf of the State Police.”

In response, Chariman Shametaj reaffirmed AALEA’s dedication to supporting law enforcement in Albania, despite being based in the USA. “We are proud to contribute to the image of the Police of our country,” said Shametaj. “Today, we are here to present to the family members of one of the Police Martyrs a check with the contribution of the entire American Albanian Law Enforcement Association Members and Community. Police martyrs are a source of inspiration, and it is our obligation to care for and assist their relatives.”

As a symbol of solidarity, Chairman Shametaj handed over a $10,000 check to the family members of Martyr Allaman Dervishi. The gesture was met with gratitude and appreciation from the Dervishi family, who expressed their thanks to both AALEA and the General Director of the State Police for their unwavering support and respect.
