During its annual homeland visit to the Balkans, the American Albanian Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) nationwide delegation conducted an official courtesy meeting with Minister of Interior Besfort Lamallari and his distinguished staff in Tirana, Albania.

As a symbol of the enduring partnership between Albanian-American and Albanian law enforcement professionals, the delegation proudly presented the “Two Flags, One Heart” commemorative plaque, representing the shared values of honor, service, integrity, and an unbreakable brotherhood across two nations.

Chairman Elton Shametaj provided the Minister with an update on AALEA’s continued support for the Albanian State Police, highlighting the Association’s ongoing donations of personal protective equipment (PPE), tactical gear, and other essential resources that enhance officer safety, operational readiness, and professional capacity.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong relationship between AALEA and the Ministry of Interior and underscored a shared commitment to expanding cooperation through professional exchanges, training initiatives, and continued support for Albania’s law enforcement community.

As the largest organization representing Albanian-American law enforcement professionals across the United States, AALEA remains dedicated to strengthening the bridge between the Albanian diaspora and the homeland while promoting excellence, unity, and public service.
