Members of the American Albanian Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) proudly stood alongside Mr. Nehat Devolli and the Rotary Club of Peja, whose unwavering leadership and commitment brought the 9/11 Memorial in Peja, Kosovo, to life. This commemorative gathering honored an extraordinary act of remembrance and reflected on the sacred meaning of a memorial that carries the weight of history, sacrifice, and brotherhood.
The AALEA delegation—joined by officers from the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey—represented the highest traditions of service, courage, and dedication. Together, they presented World Trade Center memorabilia to the Peja 9/11 Memorial, solemn symbols of resilience and the enduring bond between the United States and the Albanian people.
The Peja 9/11 Memorial, fittingly named “Memory and Friendship,” stands proudly in the heart of Peja as a testament to unity, loyalty, and shared values. AALEA extends its deepest respect and gratitude to the Rotary Club of Peja and the people of Kosovo for honoring the nearly 3,000 innocent Americans who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Special recognition is given to Mr. Nehat Devolli for his vision, leadership, and tireless dedication in creating the only 9/11 memorial in the region. His efforts stand as a lasting symbol of solidarity and friendship between our nations, and he remains a true friend and supporter of the American Albanian Law Enforcement Association. AALEA also expresses sincere appreciation for his warm hospitality and for guiding the delegation through the Peja Museum, sharing the rich history and heritage of Peja.
The AALEA Board salutes this profound act of respect toward American law enforcement and all who made the ultimate sacrifice.
God bless Kosovo.
God bless the United States of America.
We will never forget.
