In a solemn moment of remembrance at the Kosovo Embassy in New York City, the American Albanian Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) extended its deepest condolences to the Kosovo Police and the family of fallen hero Afrim Bunjaku. Officer Bunjaku dedicated his life to serving and protecting his community, and his loss is profoundly felt.
Amidst this sorrow, AALEA expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and solidarity of its community. Through a successful fundraiser, the organization raised and presented $60,000 USD to assist the Bunjaku family. In addition, a commemorative shield and flowers were presented as symbols of respect and admiration for his bravery and sacrifice.
The presentation was led by AALEA Chairman Elton Shametaj, alongside board members Belis Krisafi, Erald Krisafi, Altin Celoaliaj, Adem Sela, and other leaders, highlighting the organization’s commitment to honoring heroes and supporting law enforcement families.
As we honor Afrim Bunjaku’s memory, we are reminded of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers worldwide. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness embody the highest ideals of service.
